As part of the Junior Series, Merida Guitars drop the student-friendly yet deluxe J1DC acoustic guitar. This dreadnought cutaway model comes in a vintage open-pore finish, with a sapele back and sides, and has been topped with torrefied solid sitka spruce soundboard, where the wood has been slow-roasted in an oxygen-free environment to remove the moisture and alter the composition, giving this guitar the sound of a fully-played in, naturally aged model. In short, this is a rich-sounding, fully-grown guitar that somehow comes at an entry-level price.
